How Mind Calm Was Born

Chaos before the calm

Turning points often come when we least expect them. For me, everything was going ‘great’. I was on television around the world, my business was booming, I had a great girlfriend, lived in a fancy Edinburgh pad etc. On the outside, I was living a successful life, but inside, it was a very different story.

Stressed to the hilt, swinging between fear and frustration, I could feel lonely in a room full of people, and nothing satisfied the inner itch that ‘there must be more to life than this’. Then one day a mate suggested I tried meditating, and after a reluctant start, I discovered that a truly successful life is lived in the present moment, with inner stillness, beyond the antics of the mind.

Today I’m a monk and meditation teacher, mind-body connection expert, author of twelve books, run an online clinic, and have trained practitioners in my methods from over 25 countries; via my award-winning Mind Detox Academy. My philosophy is simple: ‘Peace is easier than we think and the solution to most problems’.
