For over 18 years, I’ve researched, developed and taught several therapeutic, coaching and meditation techniques for healing the undercover mind-based causes of physical, emotional and life issues. As an ex-monk, I’ve also extensively explored spirituality and offer guidance on ‘knowing thyself’ and finding real peace. Here’s a quick summary:

How Mind Detox Was Born
In 2005 I was invited to work as a therapist on a detox health retreat in Spain. Many of the ‘detoxers’ were wanting help with chronic conditions, including migraines, I.B.S., infertility, and psoriasis, and until then, I’d never worked with health issues.
Thankfully, I’d been researching the mind-body connection and so I decided to keep it simple by asking my first client if there was an unresolved past event that might be causing her current condition. To both of our amazements, a memory “popped into her mind”, and so we worked to resolve it, once and for all.
In session after session, the same strategy resulted in great success. I witnessed skin conditions clear up, chronic pain vanish and digestion problems disappear, to name but a few. I also witnessed many emotional and life issues improving, all from doing one thing – discovering and resolving the possible mind-based causes.
As I was the ‘mind guy’ working on ‘detox retreats’ my method became known as Mind Detox. News about my work then spread internationally when I was shown on three televised retreats. The positive publicity gave me the opportunity to meet with hundreds of clients at my clinics, workshops and retreats, and in 2008 I ran my first of many Mind Detox Practitioner training courses.

★ My Philosophy
From Chaos to Calm
Turning points often come when we least expect them. For me, everything was going ‘great’. I was on television around the world, my business was booming, I had a great girlfriend, lived in a fancy Edinburgh pad etc. On the outside, I was living a successful life, but inside, it was a very different story.
Stressed to the hilt, swinging between fear and frustration, I could feel lonely in a room full of people, and nothing satisfied the inner itch that ‘there must be more to life than this’. Then one day a mate suggested he tried meditating, and after a reluctant start, I discovered that a genuinely successful life is lived in the moment, with inner stillness, and by finding ‘peace with’ the antics of the mind.
My philosophy is simple: ‘Peace is easier than we think and the solution to most problems’. So if you want to make the move from treating symptoms to curing causes, and find consistent inner calm, you’re in the right place.

ANXIOUS + LONELY

FEELING LIKE A FRAUD
By this point I had successfully used Mind Detox to heal my eating disorder and insomnia, overcome my relationship hurts, get out of debt and gain the confidence to not let dyslexia stop me from writing books. But despite being on TV and helping lots of people, I still secretly lacked any kind of consistent inner peace. MIND CALM DOWNLOAD

PEACE IS THE SOLUTION
A couple years later, I developed the Body Calm technique, and then most recently Calm Cure. Collectively, alongside Mind Calm, they are now known as ‘Calmology’ and offer a complete system for clearing and calm the mind, helping the body to heal, and discovering that inner peace is the silent solution for most problems and genuine life success. In 2021 I left my spiritual teacher and started a new spiritual chapter in my life… but that’s a story for another day!
PRESENT DAY
Today I offer one:one Sessions, train students via my Academy and continue writing - having now published 12 books. To make it all accessible to anyone, I opened the Mind Detox Club in 2016, which is making wisdom mobile by offering online meditations, masterclasses and mentoring - so that you can heal for real, benefit from meditation, explore our spiritual-side and enjoy the best life humanly possible.
